Time for Some More Updates
So, it's been another while since there was a new TZP blog posted. I gotta figure by now it's about time for another update.
Things have been rolling along with the Dream Thirteen project. Maybe not as smoothly and quickly as originally planned but they are indeed moving along. Right now we have the first two segments almost in the bag and another four or so are in active preproduction.
In the meantime, just as we think our run with the A Thousand Words: Bloodline movie has run it's course and all the festivals have been done, we get another request for the DVD and an interview. Unbound Zine recently took an interest in the movie and I'll be sending out a copy of the DVD a.s.a.p. Once they give it a look over we will move into the interview portion.
It's nice to have something like this come along during a slow time. I can't believe it's been two years working on the entire ATW2 process from start to finish to follow up. It's nice to have the break but I miss having the business of the work and I miss being in the mix of production, post, and marketing and promotion. Having a new interview and review of the movie will boost my spirits most definitely. Even if it's not the best it's still some attention that we've not had in a couple months.
It's good to keep yourself out there and give people a reminder that you exist, even if it's for something somewhat old news. Not only that but this is the second time we are reaching into the Canadian entertainment world and this time for ATW2 (last time was for Over Coffee with an online film festival). It's super cool to think we've gotten attention from another country.
We are also in the works on some other new things that will be coming out next year. Not sure on the time table there but hopefully it will be early on. Kind of depends on when I get the itch to mess around with the work. As for movies, there's a couple things on the board but not really sure where we will go next. Jerod has some pieces he has been holding onto for a while but is concentraiting more on writing now; and I've got a couple projects I want to finish up including the feature screenplay for A Thousand Words and the final chapter in the short series.
That's about all the news I can think of right now, like I said, things have slowed down for the year considerable. That said, we should be ready to get moving on some of this other big stuff after the new year.
